Judith B. Stevens, known to her peers as Judy, is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School, Wayne Community College with an Associates Degree in Accounting and Fayetteville Technical Community College with a Certificate in Funeral Directing. She is married to Richard Stevens and they make their home in the Pikeville area of Wayne County. They have two sons, Kevin Stevens and Michael Stevens, along with two grandchildren. As a licensed funeral director, Judy serves Tyndall Funeral Home as its preneed counselor, and with her accounting background, she also serves as its bookkeeper, in addition to being the secretary/treasurer of its corporate structure. In addition to her duties at Tyndall, she is also employed with Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro where she is preneed counselor and aftercare advisor. She also coordinates the grief support programs for both firms.
She is a member and past district director of The North Carolina Funeral Director's Association and is also a member and past president of the American Business Women's Association. Judy and her family are members of the Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where she serves as a Sunday school teacher and serves as church clerk.
Judy became associated with Tyndall in 1987 and she has been a welcomed presence as she assists many families in completing their funeral arrangements before the need arises.
