Taylor Whitfield
Taylor Whitfield, a resident of the Indian Springs community on the outskirts of Mount Olive, joined the Tyndall staff in January of 2006. He is married to Brandy Z Whitfield, and is the son of the Reverend Mickey Whitfield and Donna Whitfield. He is a member of the Rooty Branch Original Free Will Baptist Church where his father is pastor. It is there that Taylor sings in the church choir and is active in all of the activities of the church, including service on the building and grounds committee. Taylor has also been a firefighter with the Indian Springs Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
Taylor graduated from Southern Wayne Senior High School in 2002 and from Wayne Community College in 2004 with a degree concentration in turf grass management, and in the spring of 2010 with his Associate Degree in Funeral Service Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College. His past employment includes lawn maintenance at a local country club, delivery service for a local furniture store, and also assisting his father in the family business operation. He is a member of the Indian Springs Volunteer Fire Department where he has held various offices.
