Obituary for Frankie Hall

William Franklin "Frankie" Hall, Jr., 52, Mount Olive resident, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 13, 2019 following a short fight with cancer.
He passed away peacefully with family by his side.

Frankie was born October 13, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father, William Franklin "Dub" Hall, Sr. and is survived by his mother Elizabeth Barnett Hall. He was deeply devoted to his mother's care until his passing.

Frankie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters, Virginia Hall Paynter and husband, Donald, of Henderson, and Betty Hall Clarke and husband, Bill, of Micro; step-children, Bradley Taylor (Marisa) and Faith Taylor; nieces, Catherine Shireman (Bobby) and Kelley Deal (Clifton); grandchildren, Thomas, McKenzie and Myles; great niece and nephew, Sarah Catherine and Beckett; and special friend, Myra Johnson.

Frankie worked at Dub's Bar-B-Que from his teenage years into his adulthood passionately learning the family's business as he worked alongside his parents. Following the passing of his father, Frankie led the operation of the well-known Mount Olive landmark.

Frankie served his community as an Eagle Scout, and was a dedicated member and past president of Mount Olive Lions Club.

He will be remembered as a loyal friend. Frankie loved nothing more than sharing time with family and friends boating at White Lake, grilling, cooking, and enjoying outdoor activities. One of his favorite pastimes was preparing his special bar-b-que pork and sauce recipes for loved ones to enjoy at pig pickins and family gatherings.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Frankie's memory to Cures for the Colors, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home, Mount Olive on Tuesday, July 16 at 2:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 3:00 PM in the chapel, with burial afterwards in Maplewood Cemetery.

The family requests that attendees dress casually to honor Frankie’s wishes. He specifically asked that no one wear a tie.
