Obituary for John William "Bill" Jones

John William "Bill" Jones, 83, Mount Olive area resident, passed away late Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Visitation will be at Tyndall Funeral Home on Friday, September 27, from 6 until 8 p.m.
At other times, friends and family may call at the home of his sister, Kaye Holmes at 129 Charlie Southerland Road, Mount Olive

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, September 28, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. James Earl Herring will officiate. Flowers are welcome, or memorial gifts to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro NC 27534, would be appreciated.

Bill is survived by his son, Neil Jones and wife, Ann S. Jones of Mount Olive; his daughter, Melissa "Missy" J. Little and husband, Darryl Little of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Cortney Jones and fiance, Eddie Howell, of Mount Olive, Jonathan Jones and wife, Christy Jones of Grantham, and Tommy Little of Mount Olive; five great-grandchildren, Laken Faulk, Cason Howell, Bryson Jones, Eli Jones, and Drake Howell; two brothers, Russell Jones of Mount Olive, and Earl Jones of Goldsboro; five sisters, Audrey J. Wheeler and husband, Clifton Wheeler, of Mount Olive, Kaye J. Holmes of Mount Olive, and her special friend, Marshall Jameson, Ann J. Matthews of Clinton, Mavis J. Faircloth of Garner, and Evelyn J. Hill of Morehead City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Faye Malpass Jones, and his parents, Lewis Henry Jones and Ruby Lee Hardy Jones.
