Zelda W. Johnson

Calypso--Zelda Mae Wiggins Johnson, 77, died early Sunday morning, June 30, 2019 at Wayne Hospital.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 5, at 7 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church, Mount Olive, followed by visitation.
Burial will be Saturday, July 6, at 11 a.m. at Calypso Cemetery. Family and friends are also being received at the home of Sue and Karl Miller.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Unity Baptist Church, had been employed in by-gone years at Barcalounger, but her most enjoyable working experience was with Mount Olive Presbyterian Church as its secretary/administrative assistant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy R. "Tink" Johnson; parents, Oscar and Maddie Raines Wiggins; sisters, Polly Jensen, Brenda Worley, and Susan Stott; and brothers, Rufus Wiggins and Albert Wiggins.

Surviving family includes daughter and son-in-law, Sue J. and Karl Miller of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Shannon Leigh Jones with Richard Pearson, and Daniel F. Hyde with Amber Norris, all of Mount Olive, great-grandchildren, Morgan Underwood, James Pearson, and Alyson Pearson; and a special niece, Kathy Jensen of Wisc., as well as other nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome; however appreciated would be memorial gifts to Cure for the Colors, c/o SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd, Goldsboro, NC 27534, or non-monetary gifts to Red Cross through donations of blood.
